��APP���� Valley Union School District is proud to announce Superintendent Dr. David Miyashiro's participation in the release of the highly anticipated 2024 National Educational Technology Plan (NETP) by the United States Department of Education (USED). Dr. Miyashiro, a member of the Technical Working Group for the NETP, has played a vital role in shaping and developing this visionary document.

��APP���� Valley, starting in 2015,developed and began piloting the “World of Work,” a K-8 program in which students explore career interests and learn how skills like organization, investigation, or interacting with people underlie different jobs.

Five local educators representing schools in Chula Vista, El ��APP����, Escondido, and Poway have been named SD County Teachers of the Year. The honorees were announced at a reception Friday night as part of the 33rd annual “Cox Presents: Salute to Teachers,” presented by San Diego County Credit Union in partnership with the SDCOE.

The World of Work (WoW) is surging in the Pittsburgh K-12 area in 2023. World of Work is a career initiative that started in the ��APP���� Valley Union School District, San Diego CA. There are now districts across the United States who are using this model to prepare students in K-12 for their future directions.
